New book: Aalto Design

Published alongside the exhibition, the book Aalto Design: Shapes of Wellbeing expands on the exhibition’s central themes. The book explores Alvar Aalto’s writings and his lifelong interest in human wellbeing. It also invites dialogue across disciplines and encourages readers to reflect on the role of wellbeing in contemporary design. In English,

Jani Toivola's audio guide Escape to Moominvalley

The audio guide offers visitors the opportunity to delve into the themes of the Escape to Moominvalley exhibition. The audio guide invites listeners to reflect on the significance of Tove Jansson’s art and life in our present time; on an individual, collective, and societal level. The audio guide can be bought together with the museum ticket.

The selection of our Museum Shop covers a wide range of different design fields. You’ll find iconic design objects, architecture and design books, fashion, glass, ceramics, and more. The shops also feature rotating collections of jewelry and products by graphic designers and illustrators. The museum shop is open during museum opening hours.
