The core of the museum’s research activity lies in interpreting our own collections—presenting diverse perspectives, expert insights, and researched knowledge on the history of Finnish architecture and design. Our ultimate goal is to make researched knowledge accessible to all.

Our extensive and diverse collections shed light on the history and evolution of Finnish design and architecture. The museum’s collections include objects, architectural models, photographs, and archival materials, offering a comprehensive view of Finnish architectural and design heritage. Our collections are currently being relocated, which is why collection services are closed until further notice.

Library
Library
The museum houses a public library dedicated to architecture, with a collection featuring books, magazines, interviews and correspondence. While the library is temporarily closed due to relocation of the premises, loan periods have been extended. All borrowed materials may be kept until 30 September 2026.
