Foundation for the Finnish Museum of Architecture and Design

Foundation for the Finnish Museum of Architecture and Design owns AD-museo Oy, which operates the museum, and manages a significant national collection of architecture and design. The foundation supports the museum’s activities, promotes the visibility of architecture and design, and is responsible for establishing the new museum in Helsinki’s South Harbour. The foundation also owns the museum’s internationally unique collections.

Ownership

The Foundation for the Finnish Museum of Architecture and Design owns both the museum company, AD-museo Ltd, and the museum’s collections. Established by the City of Helsinki and the State of Finland in spring 2022, the foundation provides the ownership structure for Architecture & Design Museum Helsinki, whose operations are managed by AD-museo Ltd.
