The Koulupuisto renovation will affect access to the museum entrance in two phases from 19 October to 15 November 2026. During this period, visitors should access the museum via either Punanotkonkatu or Ullanlinnankatu, depending on the phase of the construction work.
The work taking place in front of the museum is part of the Puistokatu construction project and requires temporary changes to pedestrian routes.
Access via Ullanlinnankatu, 19 October–1 November 2026
During the first phase, the pedestrian route from Punanotkonkatu to the museum’s main entrance will be closed. Visitors should access the museum via Ullanlinnankatu.
This phase of the work is expected to last two weeks.
Access via Punanotkonkatu, 2–15 November 2026
During the second phase, the pedestrian route from Punanotkonkatu to the museum’s main entrance will reopen, while the route from Ullanlinnankatu to the main entrance will be closed.
During this period, visitors should access the museum via Punanotkonkatu.
Please take these temporary changes to access routes into account when planning your visit. The temporary arrangements will remain in place until 15 November 2026.
