Library

The Library of the Architecture and Design Museum is a specialist library. Its collections number over 33 000 volumes including all fields of architecture and design. Literature dealing with Finnish architecture is in a special Fennica collection now comprising over 9 000 volumes. The Library also has an extensive periodicals collection with hundreds of titles.

Library services reopen on 5 March 2027

The Museum library is temporarily closed due to the relocation of the Museum’s library and collection materials and the renovation of its storage facilities in 2027.

In early 2027, the Museum will carry out a comprehensive refurbishment of its Korkeavuorenkatu building and reopen its renewed services, including the library services, to customers on 5 March 2027.

Current long-term loans will be automatically extended until the end of April 2027. If needed, books on loan can be returned to the museum’s customer service desk during opening hours throughout autumn 2026.
