Collections, the heart of the museum
The extensive and diverse collections of the Architecture & Design Museum illuminate the history and development of Finnish applied arts and architecture. The museum’s collections of objects and architectural models, together with its image archive, archives and library, form a comprehensive picture of the history of Finnish architecture and design. This significant national collection of architecture and design is owned and managed by the Foundation for the Finnish Architecture & Design Museum.
The collections of the Architecture & Design Museum form the foundation of the museum’s exhibition programme. They are presented in the permanent exhibition, temporary exhibitions and travelling exhibitions.
