Architecture & Design Museum Helsinki’s new satellite venue, Eteläranta 6, opens at the end of August. A new space for events, meetings and encounters offers a front-row seat to the making of the new museum in Helsinki’s South Harbour. Together with its partners, the Architecture & Design Museum will host events at Eteläranta 6 and invite visitors to explore and discuss the role of architecture and design in the city.
Eteläranta 6
Eteläranta 6 is located just a short walk from the museum’s current main building on Korkeavuorenkatu. The venue is open to the public during events and programmes held on site. Communities and companies can also rent the facilities for their own events.

At Eteläranta 6, visitors can explore the plans for the new Museum of Architecture and Design and look out over its future site in Eteläsatama. From the venue’s windows, you can follow the project as it takes shape.

Please note that the historic Art Nouveau space is not barrier free. There are stairs leading to the venue as well as within the venue itself. The multi-level space does not have a lift.
Highlights from Juhani Pallasmaa’s Reference Library
Eteläranta 6 is also home to architect Juhani Pallasmaa’s reference library. Pallasmaa has donated his entire library to the museum’s collections, and a selection curated by the architect himself will be on display at Eteläranta 6. The library space also features objects from the Architecture & Design Museum’s collections.
