The world's best museum needs its creators!
We have a unique opportunity to establish a new architecture and design museum in Helsinki's South Harbour, offering experiences and insights through both its content and services. The project is well underway: funding decisions and commitments have been made, organisational changes implemented, and the design competition for the museum building is already under way. We have drafted the museum's strategy for the coming years, but a critical piece is missing. A museum of the 2030s cannot be imagined without a strong technological dimension, and we are now seeking a bold and creative professional to take on this responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of technological solutions for the museum of the future.
- Create the concept and identity of the digital museum and lead one of our strategic flagship projects.
- Inspire and assist our service areas to enhance accessibility and create unforgettable, multi-sensory content and service experiences using technology.
Requirements
We expect you to have a diverse and robust technological background, a forward-looking approach, and the ability to manage complex projects agilely. You should be able to assist the organisation in making significant strides in leveraging technology and remain unfazed by challenges. Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in both technology and other languages are essential.
As Chief Technology Officer, you will assemble a small but efficient team and involve the entire organisation in the development towards a new museum and way of working. You will report to the Museum Director and be part of the museum's management team.
Applications are only accepted through our recruitment system. We look forward to receiving your application, CV, and salary request by 9 June, 2024.

Diversity and equality are important to our work community, and we encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to apply. To promote equality and fairness, this recruitment is conducted anonymously. The aim of anonymous recruitment is to focus on the applicant's professional skills and work experience. Interview candidates will be selected based on an automatically generated anonymous summary.
