Discussion: Preview of the year  2030

At the end of August, Architecture & Design Museum Helsinki will open Eteläranta 6 – a new venue for events and public engagement. Together with its partners, the museum will host a program of events in the space designed by Studio Joanna Laajisto and invite residents to discuss the role and significance of architecture and design in the city.

Throughout the construction of the New museum of Architecture and Design building, visitors will be able to follow the development of the area at Eteläranta 6. The event program will launch during Helsinki Design Week. The first public event at Eteläranta 6 will take place on Monday, 31 August 2026, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm.

Discussion event Preview of the year  2030

Preview of the year  2030 talk will be moderated by researcher and journalist Katja Lindroos. Joining the discussion will be Aleksi Neuvonen, researcher at Demos Helsinki, and Carson Chan, Chief Curator rand Director of Curatorial Affairs at Architecture & Design Museum Helsinki.

Following the talk, the public will have the opportunity to explore the space until 6:00 pm.

Please note that the historic Art Nouveau space is not barrier free. There are stairs leading to the venue as well as within the venue itself. The multi-level space does not have a lift.
